Dr. Rose Mary Amenga-Etego

Dr. Rose Mary Amenga-Etego  is an Associate Professor in Religious Studies and Head of Department for the Study of Religions. She obtained her PhD from the School of Divinity, University of Edinburgh after her B. A., and MPhil degrees in Religions from the University of Ghana. Her publications include Mending the Broken Pieces: Indigenous Religion and Sustainable Rural Development in Northern Ghana (2011) and ‘Akokɔ bere so nim adekyee: Women’s interpretation of indigenous oral text’ in a book she co-edited on Unravelling and Reweaving Sacred Canon in Africana Womanhood (2015). She is Ghana’s Representative of the African Association for the Study of Religions (AASR) and a member of the Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians (The Circle).
