Mr. Kelefa Sanneh – Journalist, The New Yorker

Mr. Kelefa Sanneh has held the position of a staff writer at The New Yorker since 2008. Prior to this, he served as a pop music critic at The New York Times for six years. He is additionally recognized as a contributor to CBS Sunday Morning. In his earlier roles, he acted as the deputy editor of Transition, a race and culture journal affiliated with the W. E. B. Du Bois Research Institute at Harvard University. Sanneh’s written works have been featured in several magazines and a select few books, which include titles such as “Shake It Up: Great American Writing on Rock and Pop from Elvis to Jay Z”, a special publication by the Library of America, as well as Da Capo Best Music Writing.
